It carries a connection to the river systems, landscapes and communities of the Kimberley.

The Story of Walyarra
The story of Walyarra began on the sandy banks of the Martuwarra Fitzroy River.
In 2019, our Managing Director, Trent Haerewa, was sitting with his father, yarning about Trent creating an earthmoving and civil construction business that could engage local opportunities across the Kimberley.
As the business began to take shape, Trent wanted a name that reflected his family, heritage and grounded in the work we do. After yarning with his grandmother, Nyikina descendent, and viewing resources from Walalakoo and respected Nyikina Elders, the name Walyarra was chosen.
For us, the name reflects where the business began, the Country that shaped it, and the foundations we continue to build on today.
