Walyarra is seeking a reliable Camp Cook / TC (Traffic Controller) to support our Gibb River Road maintenance grading works in the Kimberley.
This role supports a small remote crew of three people, preparing daily meals and assisting with light site duties when required. It’s a relaxed camp environment but requires someone organised, clean, and comfortable working in remote locations.
Location
Gibb River Road, Kimberley WA (remote camp)
Rate
Approx $400 – $450 per day casual
Roster
Project-based remote work (roster to be discussed)
Role Responsibilities
Prepare daily meals for a small crew (~2 people)
Breakfast
Packed lunches
Dinner
Manage camp kitchen and food supplies
Maintain clean kitchen and camp hygiene
Assist with traffic control duties on grading cycles
Operate support vehicle and water trailer for fire suppression
General light camp support duties
Requirements
Previous camp cook or station cook experience preferred
Traffic Control ticket (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work remotely in the Kimberley
Current driver’s licence
Basic medical (or ability to obtain one)
Good organisation and hygiene practices
Ability to work well with a small crew
