Walyarra successfully delivered road opening and rehabilitation works along Gibb River Road for Main Roads Western Australia, supporting early season access across the Kimberley region of Western Australia following the wet season.
Operating in remote conditions, Walyarra deployed a CAT 325 excavator, CAT 950 wheel loader, multiple side tippers, and semi watercarts to remove flood debris, reshape road formations, and reinstate safe and reliable traffic access.
The works demonstrated Walyarra’s strong capability in Kimberley road construction and remote civil works, with effective coordination of plant, experienced operators, and a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality outcomes.
Working in close collaboration with MRWA, key stakeholders, and subcontractors, Walyarra ensured the Gibb River Road was reopened safely and efficiently. This project reinforces Walyarra’s reputation as a trusted Indigenous-owned civil construction contractor, delivering essential road infrastructure across the Kimberley.
